Salmonella -- United States
The salmonellosis outbreak associated with the 3 Jul 2016 Good Vibe Tribe Luau and recalled Kapowsin Meats pork has now sickened at least 15 people in Washington State. Seattle and King County state that traceback information about the pork came from Kapowsin Meats, which was involved in a large salmonellosis outbreak in 2015.
As of 21 Jul 2016, 4 people were confirmed ill with salmonellosis with the same pulsed field-gel electrophoresis (PFGE) genetic fingerprint as the outbreak strain.
