The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) today [10 Feb 2016] demanded an enquiry regarding jaundice outbreak in Shimla town [Himachal Pradesh state] and the adjoining areas and sought compensation for the deceased and patients suffering from the disease. Former BJP state president and sitting MLA from Shimla, Suresh Bhardwaj, said the negligence on the party of the Irrigation and Public Health Department (I&PH), Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Pollution Control Board (PCB) led to the outbreak
