Hantavirus -- Chile
A few minutes ago, the Public Health Institute (ISP) confirmed a case positive for [a] hantavirus [infection] in Maule, making it the 3rd case so far in 2016.
The case is a 6-year-old boy who was taken to the Regional Hospital in Talca, where he is in stable condition in the intensive care unit.
The Regional Government Health Secretariat reminds all about the measures to prevent [exposure to hantaviruses]:
- Select clean areas and pastures free of brush for campsites,
- Keep food in
